Ok, I finally did it. I'm writing about the subject guys think about most: girls. We only talk/think about them 80% of the time. They're so much cuter than us, it's a wonder love can be a mutual thing.
So I'll cut to the chase (seeing as I'm about to be kicked off the computer.) As we were going to the dance, Katelyn's car ran out of gas. To most of us, that would be very embarrassing in a regular situation. Being on a date, for most people, would seriously magnify the awkwardness. But throughout the whole ordeal (it took two trips to the gas station to fill up sufficiently,) my date was totally relaxed. I like the title to a book I've seen: "Don't sweat the small stuff (and it's all small stuff)" My personal conviction is that there are things you can and things you can't control. For those you can't, what's the use in stressing out?
This experience, which could have tarnished the rest of the date, was actually pretty funny and made for good story material simply because both parties involved realized it was something that couldn't be helped. This realization seems to be a little more difficult for girls to come to when faced with life's various problems, and I admired the fact that my Morp date was able to come to it so quickly.
